The Blue Agave Bungalow vacation home in Fort Davis, Texas has 1,300 square feet. The living room looks out onto a private walled courtyard. The dining area is large with pine floors and French doors that open to a second patio. The kitchen has new cabinetry with tile counter tops, a dishwasher and views to a courtyard. The entire property is enclosed by hay bale or stucco walls to provide security for animals, children and privacy for all. Pecan and cottonwood trees shade the yard.

Davis Mountains State Park
Developed facilities south of State Highway 118 include restrooms with and without showers; campsites with water; campsites with water and electricity; campsites with water, electricity, sewer, and cable TV connection. The northern half of the park, north of State Highway 118, has been designated, the Limpia Canyon Primitive Area, a special use area (fee required). Currently, it includes 11 miles of back country hiking and equestrian trails with primitive campsites, a secured parking area, a host campsite.

Fort Davis Cow Camp
Fort Davis Cow Camp is four blocks behind the Jeff Davis County Courthouse located on a beautifully landscaped one-acre facility near Sleeping Lion Mountain in Fort Davis, Texas. The main house is an adobe structure built in 1892, just 32 years after the U.S. Cavalry post was established nearby.
Other historic facilities on the property include a barn, carriage house and blacksmith shop. The original carriage house was converted into a guest lodge in the 1990’s. The old blacksmith shop was used as a bunkhouse and office and was built over a century ago. The Bunkhouse and Loft were recently renovated into guest accommodations which are now available to rent. Indian Lodge in Davis Mountains State Park
The original portion of the Indian Lodge was built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. This 1935 “tourist court” was purchased by The Hotel Limpia in 2006 and has been completely remodeled. It now has 14 rooms of which two are suites, plus 6 “camp rooms” easily described as a step above camping complete with two twin beds made with thick comforters and full showers and bath facilities down the porch from your room. All of the motel rooms have flat screen TVs. The seasonal swimming pool, not heated, was completed in the summer of 2007 which is located off of a patio with a fire pit and landscaped area for relaxation. Located in the middle of Fort Davis. The Soap House
Enjoy scenic views of the area’s flora and fauna, dark skies, and starry nights in an original adobe casita at the foot of Blue Mountain. The casita is 400 sq/ft with a queen size bed, kitchenette, bathroom, large firepit, and flower gardens for your enjoyment. There is no television, but WiFi is available. The Soap House is located seven miles outside of Fort Davis on HWY 118, making trips to McDonald Observatory, Davis Mountains State Park, and Prude Ranch convenient.
