FRONTIER MEDICINE PROGRAM
AT THE LIBRARY JANUARY 21st
Everyone is invited to attend an engaging presentation at the library in Fort Davis on Saturday, January 21st at 11:00 a.m. by local writer, Donna G. Smith who recently published her book, Frontier Medicine at Fort Davis and Other Army Posts. Retired National Park ranger and historian, Donna Smith will share true stories from her recent research on 19th century people, diseases, and medical practices at Fort Davis and other U.S. Army posts. Some of the accounts convey stories of local families of Fort Davis. The facts may surprise you! Free program hosted by the Jeff Davis County Library in Fort Davis, this is the first in a series exploring local history of the Big Bend region and its authors.
