Primitive Firing Clay Workshop

Join clay artists David Echols and Walter Holland in the beautiful Davis Mountains for a unique, hands-on workshop utilizing three techniques for firing clay pots: pit fire, sagar fire and raku.

This one-day workshop provides each participant 3 clay pots, all materials, snacks and lunch.

Participants will be involved in all aspects of the process, from adding materials to the pots through the actual firing. Participants may bring additional bisqueware of high grog stoneware or raku-based clay, but the class includes 3 pots for the convenience of those who don’t have their own materials.)

No prior experience is necessary! Simply enroll, then come out and enjoy the process.
