We’re your home at the end of the trail! A naturalist’s dream, Mountain Trails Lodge sits on 10 acres just south of the historic town of Fort Davis. Separated cabins with private porches offer sweeping views of the Chihuahuan Desert and the ever-changing natural light over the surrounding grasslands and mountains. Dark sky friendly outdoor lighting makes our Lodge ideal for astrophotography and stargazing.
We are centrally located for all your Davis Mountains and Big Bend explorations: Bird, hike, explore art galleries and museums, ride scenic loops, or simply watch the sunrise, sunset, and millions of stars from the quiet of your front porch.
The Lodge features 16 guest rooms in duplex cabins and a covered pavilion with gas grills, tables, and chairs, perfect for gathering with friends and family. The back yard and sitting and dining rooms in a restored 1930s motor court are ideal for outdoor weddings, retreats, reunions, and private parties. We cater, or you can bring in take out from one of our lovely local restaurants!
